29 Apr 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredA successful coffee morning in Colham and Cowley this week, hearing from residents on local issues including the state of Uxbridge Town Centre, the future of the RAGC, fly-tipping and getting the new hospital built. Our next coffee afternoon is in Yiewsley, visit my website for more information.
29 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentangryI have written formally to Reform UK to address racism and hate from their Ickenham and South Harefield candidate, Howard Dini. The posts include explicit endorsements of violence and fall far below any acceptable standard for public office.
28 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredResidents have raised concerns about anti-social behaviour in their local park and presented a petition to the council calling for the gates to be locked at night. I visited them on site to hear their concerns firsthand and will keep pushing to make Uxbridge safer.
26 Apr 2026Health & NHScelebratoryPleased to see that under Labour, the number of patients waiting for treatment is down. After years of record waiting lists under the Tories, this is real progress and I look forward to seeing it continue.
24 Apr 2026EducationcelebratoryWhen Hillingdon Council tried to cut £7 million from our schools last year, we campaigned and stopped them. This year, they came back with another £3 million in cuts. We campaigned again and the Department for Education has now blocked these cuts!
23 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredAfter hearing from residents about anti-social behaviour at the Pavilions Car Park, I raised this directly with the council department responsible and will keep you updated.
23 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryHappy St George's Day! The St George's flag belongs to all of us and represents the best of what England is - a diverse and united nation. Today is a day to celebrate England together, from our communities and our grassroots sports clubs, to our Lionesses, England Red Roses and so much more 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
22 Apr 2026EnvironmentcelebratoryThis Earth Day, why not support a local business making a real difference? Refill Your Cup store on Ruislip High Street is the first zero waste refill store in Hillingdon, making it easier for residents to reduce waste and make more sustainable choices right in their community. Worth a visit!
21 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredAlways great to be out in Uxbridge and Yiewsley hearing directly from residents about what matters to them in their community. If you were not in when we knocked and have a concern you would like to raise, you can reach us at danny.beales.mp@parliament.uk
20 Apr 2026EducationcelebratoryHillingdon is receiving £2.8 million as part of Labour's new Experts at Hand SEND service. They bring specialist professionals directly into local schools to support children with SEND - educational psychologists, speech and language therapists all available closer to home.
19 Apr 2026EducationcelebratoryReally pleased to hear that HRUC, the further education college serving Uxbridge and South Ruislip, is receiving over £4.6 million to repair and upgrade its college buildings as part of Labour's £1.7 billion investment to modernise further education colleges across the country.
16 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentangryI am urging Reform to withdraw support for their Ickenham and South Harefield candidate following disturbing social media posts. This kind of hatred has no place in Hillingdon. Are these really the people they want running our schools, social care and public services?
15 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredLast week, I spent the morning with residents in Uxbridge for a drop-in session, giving them the opportunity to speak about crime and safety concerns in the town centre. Community members shared their experiences and discussed the impact that crime and antisocial behaviour.
15 Apr 2026ImmigrationcelebratoryWelcome news for Hillingdon! The Government has closed eleven asylum hotels, including the Holiday Inn Heathrow. These closures will save taxpayers nearly £65 million a year, with asylum costs already down by nearly £1 billion since this Government took office.
13 Apr 2026Economy & Jobs (General)measuredWe're seeing more data centres built and planned in West London as demand for data increases. It's vital that new data centres in Hillingdon benefit residents, securing local jobs and using excess heat to power our homes and lower bills. Great to hear the Government are taking this seriously.
10 Apr 2026Utilities & WatermeasuredPeople are deeply concerned about the dumping of sewage in our local rivers and waterways. I requested to meet Thames Water at their sewage treatment plant to outline these concerns and hear about what they’re doing to prevent sewage dumping.
9 Apr 2026Health & NHSmeasuredLast week, I attended an event with Dementia UK, where we discussed the importance of improving palliative and end-of-life care for people living with dementia. The current system of palliative care is letting down too many patients and carers across the UK.
8 Apr 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryI know how many residents in Yiewsley were frustrated by the level of dust coming from the heavy skips and lorries off Tavistock Road. Thank you to Quick Skips for listening to these concerns and investing in a brand new road sweeper to help mitigate dust on local roads!
8 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryGreat to hear that the Mayor of London is investing £30m to bring back youth clubs - including in Hillingdon. After years of cuts to youth services by Hillingdon Council - this is exactly what young people need. We now need to re-open our youth centres in Uxbridge & South Ruislip!
8 Apr 2026Defence & SecuritycelebratoryAs Nepal begins to enter a new era of governance, there is a real chance to strengthen the historic relationship and addressed long-standing issued faced by Gurkha veterans. Glad to sign a letter alongside fellow Labour MPs to make the case for this important partnership🇬🇧🤝🇳🇵
3 Apr 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredIf you're having trouble getting through to the council about important issues such as council tax - my team can support you by raising the case on your behalf. Need help? Get in touch at Danny.beales.mp@parliament.uk
2 Apr 2026EducationcelebratoryWhen this Government said we were going to fix the broken SEND system — we meant it. Thrilled to announce a boost of over £5 million to support specialist school places in Hillingdon 🙏
1 Apr 2026EducationangryThe Conservatives can pretend to care about student loans but they can't escape the truth: they're the architect of this failing system. We need a proper review of the student finance system.
31 Mar 2026Cost of LivingmeasuredI know many are concerned about the prices at the pump as a result of the conflict in Iran. I wrote to major supermarkets asking them to ensure prices were fair – and no excess profits are being made during the crisis. Check out prices locally at: www.fuel-finder.uk
30 Mar 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredThank you to Bishop Ramsey for welcoming me earlier this month – lots of interesting discussions about how the political system can deliver for young people in our area.
27 Mar 2026ImmigrationmeasuredI know that many Hong Kongers in Uxbridge and South Ruislip have concerns over changes to indefinite leave to remain. Thank you to all those who attended my coffee morning for British Nationals (Overseas) to share their views 🇭🇰🤝🇬🇧
