29 May 2026Culture & CommunityangryI agree. As Parliament is on recess no motions can be laid or Qs raised …
29 May 2026MP & ParliamentdefensiveWhilst Parliament is closed for recess this cannot be done. We return Monday and Ive already raised with spokes. I’m sorry if you don’t think that’s good enough. If you are my constituent feel free to write to me & I can arrange to meet you otherwise can I suggest you lobby your MP to take action

29 May 2026MP & ParliamentdefensiveHi. Parliament is closed this week. Nothing can be raised-I can’t even submit a written question. That is why next week is the time for acting. I’m sorry that’s not enough for you. If you are my constituent pls write & I can arrange a meeting, otherwise pls contact your MP and call on them to act

28 May 2026Social CareempatheticI know the EHCR guidance is a huge blow for trans and non binary folk & they will be worried and scared. I will be looking at how I can raise my concerns about their impact and ensure the rights and dignity of Trans and Non binary people are protected and will make a further statement shortly.
28 May 2026EducationmeasuredOne of the biggest challenges facing our education system is teacher retention. This survey is for current and former teachers to discover what can be done to keep our best in post. Please fill out yourself, or share on to other great teachers you know! 👇️ digitallibdems.typeform.com/to/Vr1eYJSx
27 May 2026OtherempatheticI’m working thru them & waiting on some more info from colleagues during recess . It’s a worrying time & I will keep fighting for trans people
27 May 2026Utilities & WatermeasuredPlz write to me if you have concerns. I regularly visit sorting offices & raise concerns.
27 May 2026EnvironmentmeasuredMags, that’s what I have been saying … I lobbied for a ban. Govt refused so I am trying to get local stores to refuse to sell them. There isn’t much more I can do if Govt won’t stop them
27 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredThis was the activity from last week, we cannot submit questions or engage as parliament is closed until Monday. I can assure you on our return we will be submitting letters etc
27 May 2026MP & ParliamentcelebratoryAnother packed week working for Mid Dorset & North Poole! From standing up for local fire services, to supporting residents, schools, and natural spaces. Thank you to everyone who I met along the way, your voices shape the work I take to Westminster.
26 May 2026EnvironmentmeasuredIt’s not those coming for the day - our biggest issue is sadly local people who use whatever means to light fires. This is too much of a gift to them. Those living near the heaths want this banned
26 May 2026Health & NHScelebratoryIt was a pleasure to visit Poole Hospital recently and hear more about their ambitious plans for further investment. Thank you to the brilliant team who took the time to show me around.
26 May 2026EnvironmentmeasuredI accept bans are tough but we should be outlawing them in high risk areas. We have had companies agreeing not to sell when close to heathland, but sadly this yr supermarkets have not continued local bans. I have written to ask Asda/Sainsburys to withdraw them
23 May 2026MP & ParliamentangryHe last spoke in Parliament back in March … and I just checked his voting record - 18th march!! Didn’t even vote on the Reform UK amendment on the Kings Speech. Disgraceful for someone who claims he should be the next PM
23 May 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredOur council worked hard to put on workshops for new cllrs, we were expected to attend. The language can be tricky but these cllrs should be reading the papers before the meeting (they are published 7days ahead) so they are equipped to act. Deeply worrying for residents if they are not doing this
22 May 2026Health & NHScelebratoryI was delighted to visit the UK Dementia Research Institute at King’s to mark Dementia Action Week. It was inspiring to learn how we are building toward a future where we can predict risk, prevent onset and personalise care for everyone affected by dementia.
21 May 2026OtherempatheticI’m deeply worried about it - talking to our spokesperson about next steps
21 May 2026OthermeasuredI hope Andrew or another member takes this on. We need to give people @dignityindying.org.uk
21 May 2026OthermeasuredI support us getting a new deal with the EU but a direct rejoin isn’t likely so I won’t sign but will make this point during debates in Parliament. EU has moved on & we need to focus on security - economic, energy, food & military - alongside our neighbours
21 May 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryI was delighted to attend the ‘An Ancient Light in the Dark’ exhibition at Walford Mill in Wimborne, created by students of AUB and QE school. Such a brilliant showcase of creativity right here in our community 👏
20 May 2026MP & ParliamentangryThe last time he spoke in Parliament was 26th MARCH!!
20 May 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredI am a huge supporter of town and parish councils and I am pleased the one in Broadstone has already met & they are committed to a strong programme. It is deeply disappointing reform uk don’t want to deliver for Poole & Bournemouth - we could have had some fabulous Cllrs who do
20 May 2026Economy & Jobs (General)measuredGreat to visit E-motion Fitness Hub in Poole to discuss a fairer deal for independent gyms. As a former small business owner, I know how unfair the system can be for hard-working individuals trying to survive and grow, particularly for those operating in physical spaces within local communities.
19 May 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredGreat to attend a meeting I organised with the Fire Minister today, alongside my Lib Dem colleagues in Dorset and Wiltshire. We made clear the challenges of the current outdated Funding Formula and were reassured that work is already underway amongst officials to review this.
19 May 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredThe post office is a different organisation. I’m also not the decision maker for that - in some cases a retailer ends a contract but PO as an independent business is who should be held to account for the retention of their branch network
19 May 2026OthermeasuredThough I haven’t forgotten about my constituents whose letters and packets are taking way too long to arrive!
