20 Jun 2026OthersarcasticDoes every former president get gifted a plane when they retire? What if they don’t have a massive golf course or private airfield to park it on? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
20 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentsarcasticAnd it’s not as if he was busy working in Parliament-check out his record. he’s voted once since March, has only submitted 20 written questions in the two years he has been in Parliament on behalf of thePeople of Clacton & spoken 69 times. Almost as if job of an MP is an inconvenience
20 Jun 2026OthermeasuredThanks. I’m afraid we will have disagree that Brexit could ever be a success, total national self sabotage in My view. Closer ties in the short term are great but a new deal (not rejoin that won’t work) based on making us safer (defence) and stronger (based on growth) must be the goal.
20 Jun 2026Technology & DigitalempatheticIntrigued by what this was - but it’s depressing that even @bsky.app is being infected by trolls, bots & misinformation 😢
20 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredRather petty and irrelevant don’t you think. I have been very clear to keep away from this distasteful witch-hunt on the PM. I suspect is days are (literally) numbered & I have been disappointed by the lack of real change but Cons ruined our public services so was always going to be a tough gig
20 Jun 2026Health & NHScelebratoryDementia research is moving forward, and emerging treatments are making meaningful differences to people’s lives. Glad to join Alzheimer’s Research UK at their showcase, hearing first-hand from the experts driving breakthroughs in diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
19 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredThat’s exactly what I suggested to colleagues this week! It would also mean he would be away a lot. Kier has been v successful on the international stage
19 Jun 2026Social CarecelebratoryThis week is #CareHomeWeek, and I was delighted to visit Upton Manor Care Home in Poole. It was a real pleasure to meet the team, many of the residents like Beryl, and even their in-house therapy dog Lily who helps to keep everyone's spirits lifted
19 Jun 2026Economy & Jobs (General)celebratoryI’m really proud to have been at an event today with the European Movement where Ed Davey has announced our commitment to being at the heart of Europe through a single market, a new customs union and putting economic growth and defence at the heart of our policy.
19 Jun 2026OtherangryIt’s coming up to a decade since the country voted to leave the EU, and it’s been a complete disaster. It’s clear that we need to get back to being a part of Europe.
18 Jun 2026OthercelebratoryGood news - the BBC have agreed not to show his documentary or screen other programmes after we published this ⬇️⬇️ www.theguardian.com/media/2026/j...
18 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryCompletely appalling comments from Reform UK (Again)
18 Jun 2026Economy & Jobs (General)celebratoryGreat to meet with Jaguar Land Rover recently and get a close look at their new Formula E racing car! Really interesting to hear about their plans to partner with the military through the updated Defender too.
18 Jun 2026Defence & SecurityangryTrump’s reckless actions in Iran risk damaging the UK–US special relationship. We should be standing firm with Ukraine and strengthening NATO, not fuelling instability that benefits Russia.
18 Jun 2026Culture & CommunityangryI stand with Anna Sabine MP and Marie Goldman MP who have written a letter to demand that the BBC Director General launches an investigation into how Mr Cain was hired and overhaul the vetting processes that allowed this oversight.
18 Jun 2026Culture & Communityangry"Sl*gs”, “sl*ts”, “psychos” and “b*tches” are just some of the terms that current BBC presenter Ashley Cain has used to describe women on social media. At a time when violence against women and girls is recognised as a national emergency, the BBC's decision to hire and promote Mr. Cain is shocking.
17 Jun 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredCreating fear & unrest has been a tool of war throughout history Misinformation, turning people against each other & rumour spread as fact destabilise without the need for a single bong to be dropped or territory invaded. This is why the Strategic Defence Review called for a whole society response
17 Jun 2026OthermeasuredGreat to be at @europeanmovement.co.uk waiting to hear from @eddavey.libdems.org.uk as we approach the 10th anniversary of the Brexit referendum There is now a clear majority that is clear Brexit was a disaster so I am keen to hear more about how we resolve this thorny issue to the benefit of UK 🇬🇧🇪🇺
17 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryMake Good Use of Bad Rubbish! Delighted to support the Wombles Community Charity and their mission for Cleaner Communities. Throughout the UK, hundreds of Wombles groups have been doing amazing work in their local communities, collecting litter, cleaning-up rivers and canals and much more to help.
17 Jun 2026OthercelebratoryWe can make the UK richer and safer with this new deal with Europe. Looking forward to the details later as @eddavey.libdems.org.uk sets out the @libdems.org.uk plan
17 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredIt may be (up to) 3yrs to a GE but the hard work to retain MDNP has already started We’re not in a fair fight as some parties access big money so i need a big team & fundraise. Register as a volunteer or join a fun event 🍰 27th June 🍓11th July 🍷9th Aug www.middorsetlibdems.org.uk/vikki-slade
17 Jun 2026OtherangryI’ve heard far too many cases where family legal aid is being misused to continue abuse even after a relationship ends. The Government must do more to ensure this system truly protects families, and is not weaponised against them.
16 Jun 2026Defence & SecurityangryThis is deeply worrying, coming so soon after the seizure of a Russian shadow fleet tanker off our shores & revelations that Russia was behind arson attacks aimed at the Prime Minister. After my question today about the risk of Russia to our security we need urgent assurance from the Govt
16 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredI'd like to spotlight an upcoming local event: An Evening at Bloxworth Church on Saturday 11th July with the famous Bovington Military Wives Choir. Every penny raised, after deduction of expenses, will go to the continuing up-keep of the Bloxworth Church.
16 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryWimborne’s first ever Pride celebration was long overdue. 🏳️‍🌈 Everyone deserves to feel seen and represented, and it was fantastic to see the LGBTQ+ community celebrated so openly. I hope to see Pride grow into an even bigger annual celebration for the whole town.
16 Jun 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredSee my question to the Defence Minister last week, calling for the urgent release of the Defence Investment Plan 👇️
16 Jun 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredLast Saturday I heard the unmistakable sound of Chinook helicopters flying over my home in Dorset, on route to intercept the Russian Tanker in the English Channel. It's clear that Russia are upping their game, we need assurance that the Government is doing all it can to keep us safe.
15 Jun 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredI welcome the programme but not at expense of settlements made to wider council. Whilst the £20m pots are “extra” in bcp a similar sum approx £60m has gone from the council as 3 PiP payments - meaning EVERY household & biz (inc those in deprived neighbourhoods) saw CT increases to compensate
15 Jun 2026Energy & Net ZerocelebratoryDorset has been recognised as a ‘medium-term opportunity’ for green energy initiatives, but the development of them is likely to be over a decade away. It has huge environmental and economic potential for our area, we should seize the opportunity now! www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/2618851...
14 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingmeasuredI had a similar case & called last week for a debate on OFCOM and whether it’s fit for purpose. Report Fraud that now deals with such cases is overwhelmed but telecoms companies should act on - be made partially accountable for - scams by ghost numbers like banks have to deal with bank frauds
