3 May 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredAnd he has avoided scrutiny by cancelling his BBC appearance on Laura K this morning.
3 May 2026MP & ParliamentconcernedIt’s a shocking listen. When politics and power can be bought it calls democracy into question. As I knock doors talking to people & raise money via quiz nights, BBQs & modest donations I wonder how the rest of us can compete & keep politics on the right track 😢
3 May 2026Culture & CommunityempatheticThe pressure on top sporting professionals is extreme & for Molly who went to school with my daughter here in Broadstone to bow out now, on her own terms is courageous.
2 May 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryIt was great to join Broadstone Art Society for the opening of their Spring Show at Upton Country Park Such talent in all formats, pop along over the next week & support them. One of the artists, David Roberts also did a 15-min portrait of me… made a change to sit still for that long 🤣
2 May 2026Local Governmentmeasured🚒 Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service has a deficit of £1.5 million. 💰️ We must work across parties to encourage the Government to properly fund all our fire services so that we can protect all our residents - regardless of who runs their local fire authority.
1 May 2026Educationcelebratory🏴‍☠️ It was great to meet with James & the team (and Daisy the dog!) at Adventure Pirate last week. 🏹 Adventure Pirate is a brilliant outdoor education provider supporting young people in community and those with SEND. I even got to have a go at archery alongside some pupils from Lytchett School!
30 Apr 2026Culture & CommunityangryUtterly shocking statement & not the only candidate to be sharing these views. The actions of Israeli Government is very different to the people of Israel & Jewish people around the world who have every right to their safety Antisemitism, and other identity or faith based hate must be called out
30 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredAntisemitism has no place in our society
29 Apr 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredWe shall have to wait and see what makes the cut. But I do understand the next session may be a more “normal” length of 1yr so all is not lost
29 Apr 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryOur Peers made a huge difference & the. govt were so keen to get their legislation through we got a number of amendments past them. This is scrutiny, and shows how the HoL can function well
29 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredParliament is now prorogued until 13th May when we will get the Kings Speech. I hope we will see Bills on Road Safety, Animal Welfare, Schools, EU Reset & High St Support Before I left London I did one last campaign session with Lambeth @libdems.org.uk this time in Waterloo & South Bank ward
29 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentsarcasticHe even made a point on BBC Breakdfat of saying it was his first day back in London for “goodness knows how long” after his 8 wk tour for the elections 😳
29 Apr 2026Crime & PolicingangryHow about the truth - Renee Goode did not deserve to die. Full Stop
28 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentmeasuredIf this is still O/S I would encourage you to flag with your MP - these cases when challenged will help bring about change
28 Apr 2026OthermeasuredThings are changing. Non medical apps are done within 3 days usually & new system should improve medical ones too
28 Apr 2026TransportmeasuredIndeed - that’s what the debate was about. Have a listen to the ministers response
28 Apr 2026OthermeasuredThat’s because the medical system is only just coming into play.
28 Apr 2026MP & ParliamentangryI was delighted to be able to host a debate in Parliament last week to raise the experience that many of my constituents have faced. Too many have faced extreme delays due to an antiquated service in which their cases have simply stalled. The DVLA is not a functioning public service.
27 Apr 2026Technology & DigitaldefensiveWe know that people want to see a social media ban, we prefer a film style option but the Govts offer was weak I am proud that the @libdems.org.uk let up our fight tonight, when the Tories decided to sit on their hands or go home. No change is not an option www.instagram.com/reel/DXpxQIq...
27 Apr 2026EnvironmentmeasuredI have been receiving casework regarding the ongoing smell in Wareham. As a result, I met with the Environment Agency last week to get an update 👉️
26 Apr 2026TransportmeasuredOn Monday, Councillor Peter Sidaway and I went to meet with Broadstone First School to continue our work looking at how we can help to improve safety at this location for families travelling to and from school.
26 Apr 2026Defence & SecuritymeasuredYes he did - that’s what the military does, keeps us safe from adversaries
26 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryIt was a privilege to be asked to join the Purbeck Scouts St George’s Day Parade at Corfe Castle and give a short speech to the assembled young people The patron saint of England is also the PS of Scouts 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 chosen by Baden Powell for the qualities of courage, service, dedication & kindness.
26 Apr 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomycelebratoryIfantastic to welcome @sarahdykeld.bsky.social my friend & @libdems.org.uk Spokes 4 Rural Affairs lead a farming round table in Lytchett yesterday talking food security, climate resilience, tax, funding, farming MH & next gen. then campaigning in Broadstone for Town Council
25 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryGreat to welcome two fantastic community champions up in Parliament recently... ⭐️ Krista Cartlidge CEO from MyTime Young Carers ⭐️ Martin Edwards CEO of Julia's House Children's Hospice Both are brilliant advocates doing so much for children and young people across our communities in Dorset.
25 Apr 2026Culture & CommunitymeasuredWell it may backfire as locals protest and some say they will boycott the venue.
25 Apr 2026Culture & CommunityangrySadly the lovely town of Wimborne in Dorset that you are visiting next month has accepted her… the Town Council and residents have objected. Sadly the reply to my letter to the theatre was unhelpful. This is not comedy, this is hate towards all sorts of groups & we will protest her appearance
24 Apr 2026Local GovernmentmeasuredIf you have proof of registration you should be able to do so. Your Cllr may be able to help if you email
24 Apr 2026OthermeasuredIndeed I did think about submitting an amendment to that effect
24 Apr 2026Health & NHSempatheticI am so sorry to hear this. We will keep fighting for your choice and dignity
