29 Jun 2026Health & NHSmeasuredMy local Lib Dem colleagues and I have today written to the Minister of State for Health to get clarity on the possible relocation of Women's Health Services from St Helier due to safety concerns. Time and time again we see that it is women bearing the brunt of our neglected healthcare system.

26 Jun 2026TransportangryCompletely agree with Will Norman on this. This is a terrible example being set by the LTA putting more dangerous vehicles on the road, especially insensitive considering the incident at The Study school in Wimbledon where the destructive power of these vehicles was shown to be so deadly.
25 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentsarcasticDo you mean “…more parties saying this too, in addition to the Liberal Democrats who have regularly condemned Farage’s language and rhetoric.”? www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U6H...
25 Jun 2026Local GovernmentNot a great outlook from someone wanting to represent residents as a Councillor.
24 Jun 2026Health & NHSmeasuredIt’s shockingly hot 🥵 These heatwaves are serious public health threats. The abnormal is becoming normal. The Govt should be opening air-conditioned buildings as 'cool hubs'. Other countries already have these measures in place, so why can't we? www.independent.co.uk/bulletin/new...
24 Jun 2026EnvironmentcelebratorySutton Council are celebrating their first "High-Vis Heroes Day" in support of their recycling and waste partner, Veolia. Veolia's hard work and services are vital to keep Sutton's streets clean. You can share your support under #HighVizHeroes on social media by 26th June!
24 Jun 2026Othermeasured2016 feels a lot longer than a decade ago. The world has changed, and we must look forward, not back. We must rejoin the Single Market, fix our broken politics and invest in the infrastructure that will make all of our lives better.
23 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredDue to the extreme heat warning issued by the Met Office, SWR have amended their timetable, advising that you only travel if essential on Wednesday & Thursday. Find out the latest travel advice here: www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-jour...
22 Jun 2026OthermeasuredAlmost 10 years to the day since the Brexit vote, the chaos it unleashed still infects politics. People are sick of it. We need real leadership to fix our broken politics so we can get on with fixing our country, or else back on the exhausting merry-go-round we go. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/ck...
20 Jun 2026Health & NHSmeasuredOne in two people will either develop dementia or care for someone who does in their lifetime. This week I met with Alzheimer’s Research UK to learn more about the great progress in prevention, treatment and one day finally curing dementia. We must keep supporting their vital work.
19 Jun 2026TransportsarcasticIn all the reporting periods since nationalisation, SWR's already bad performance has become even worse. As with so much else with this Govt, the positive impacts are yet to be felt because they are delivering change at a snail’s pace. For now, like too many SWR trains, they're delayed.
14 Jun 2026Housing & PlanningempatheticToday marks the ninth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower disaster. Nine years later, Londoners can still vividly remember the shocking scenes. My statement in full:
12 Jun 2026OtherangryThis guy, who begged to be invited to the 'wildest party' on the private island of Jeffrey Epstein, who had six years earlier been convicted in Florida on state charges of soliciting prostitution and procuring a minor for prostitution, is the world's first trillionaire.

12 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredHave you had your say? 🚆 SWR are preparing a huge new consultation on local train services. This is YOUR chance to tell them your commuting horror stories, and help shape better services. Here's me and the newly elected Worcester Park councillors explaining why this matters.
10 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryLegislation supported by MPs and the public should be properly considered and have a fair opportunity to progress through Parliament. It's shameful that this did not happen with the Terminally Ill Adults Bill. Check out the full speech on my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@LukeTaylorM...
9 Jun 2026Crime & PolicingangryThreats to kill with a knife are almost at an all time high in London. Violence behaves like a virus - left unchecked it spreads. Sadiq Khan can't go on pretending things are fine. We need more police on the streets and money for a true public health approach. www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/k...
9 Jun 2026Defence & SecurityangryOur army is at its smallest size since the Battle of Waterloo. That's shameful. My Lib Dem colleagues and I have called for a £20bn defence boost through new "Defence Bonds", so that our army gets the support it needs to face down new challenges and deter armed conflict in our generation.
9 Jun 2026Cost of LivingmeasuredWe need bold action on the cost-of-living crisis, quickly. The Lib Dems have launched our plan to tackle energy bills for struggling families. Our new Essential Energy Guarantee would see every household receive a fixed allowance of energy at a discounted price, to cover daily basic needs.
2 Jun 2026TransportmeasuredAfter years of campaigning for better SWR services, there are glimmers of hope! We're keeping up the campaign for more trains, less overcrowding and investment in infrastructure. You can help by filling in SWR's pre-consultation! www.suttonlibdems.org.uk/news/article...
1 Jun 2026MP & ParliamentangryThe latest Mandelson saga revelations continue to undermine faith in public service. It's alarming to learn he tried to set up another meeting between the PM & Peter Thiel. I pushed the Govt twice today to admit that they are failing to wipe the slate clean after years of Tory sleaze and scandal.
1 Jun 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryToday marks the start of Pride Month. I am proud to champion a borough full of so many wonderful people in the LGBT+ community. It's important to celebrate the progress we've made with LGBT+ rights and continue stand by their side in the face of new threats around the world.
29 May 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryCongratulations to my friend and Lib Dem colleague Cllr Sadiq upon becoming the new Mayor of Sutton! www.suttonlibdems.org.uk/news/article...
29 May 2026EducationmeasuredWhen it comes to news coverage and policy debates, we hear so much about young people, and not enough from young people. The 2026 Youth Voice Census concludes in just 10 days - and if you're aged 11-30, it's important you have your say. You can find it here: survey.alchemer.eu/s3/91044376/...
28 May 2026ImmigrationsarcasticThis is an easy test for people who are very thick but want Donald to like them, vs those who know how the world works. Chose idiocracy or not. Easy choice right?
27 May 2026MP & ParliamentsarcasticThe Toby Young Hypothesis? No issue, no matter how small is not made more stupid by the contribution of Baron Young. If the Dunning-Kruger effect were a person it would be a founder member of the Free Speech Union.
22 May 2026MP & ParliamentangryYou should probably take down your repost of the announcement of Chris Kennedy from yesterday, and apologise again for Green Party antisemitism if you want to have credible political discussions with anyone.
22 May 2026Local GovernmentangryThis morning I’ve been canvassing with the team in Streatham St Leonard’s Ward where yet another Green Party anti-semitism scandal will cost tax payers £25k for a by-election I spoke to many angry green voters who feel let down by the Green Party, and who will vote Lib Dem this time around.
