2 Sept 2025 Covid-19 Vaccination Harm

I congratulate my hon. Friend not just on securing this debate, but on all the work he has done on this subject. He knows that he and I and our right hon. Friend the Member for Tatton (Esther McVey) and others have been raising it for many years now. He also knows that the Secretary of State has said he wants time to t

14 Jul 2025Clean Energy: Supply

The Minister will recognise that one way to increase the supply of clean energy is to enable community energy projects to supply local energy markets. When Ministers are asked about that, as he knows they have been many times, they generally say that there is no technical obstacle to it happening, but will the Minister

9 Jul 2025Speaker's Conference (2024) — Oral Evidence (HC 570)

I am sorry to press you, but that is not an answer to my question. I asked you very specifically what the word credible means in this context. It is not a question about what process you apply in relation to law enforcement. It is not a question about an individual piece of content. It is a question about what the poli

9 Jul 2025Speaker's Conference (2024) — Oral Evidence (HC 570)

Forgive me: I am not asking you to tell us about an individual decision for an individual piece of content. I am asking you to explain what your policy means. What does the word credible mean?

Credibility can mean a number of different things. It could mean to a police officer whether or not someone actually has the me

9 Jul 2025Speaker's Conference (2024) — Oral Evidence (HC 570)

To put it another way, what is the context that would make those statements acceptable to you?

9 Jul 2025Speaker's Conference (2024) — Oral Evidence (HC 570)

On the responsibilities that you have both described, do you take the view—from your platforms’ perspectives—that those responsibilities are any different during election periods? If so, how does your behaviour change either in relation to the resources you allocate or in any other way?

9 Jul 2025Speaker's Conference (2024) — Oral Evidence (HC 570)

If I understood the earlier evidence properly, the answer to that last point might be that the proactive monitoring of MPs’ profiles only happens at election time, and does not happen outside election time. We might ask you to clarify that. I wanted to ask about anonymity, which we talked about a moment ago with Clive.

I accept it is not in force yet; it is about when it will be.

7 Jul 2025 Generative Artificial Intelligence: Schools

The right hon. Member for East Hampshire, who moved the motion, has the right—if he wishes it—to wind up the debate, and he has about 20 minutes in which to do so. He is, however, under no obligation to use all or any of that time.

Order. That was either several interventions or a speech, neither of which is permissible. I urge all participants to keep interventions brief.

Three Back Benchers are seeking to speak. I hope it will assist colleagues if I say that I intend to start calling Front Benchers at about 5.08 pm.

7 Jul 2025Road and Rail Projects

The Secretary of State has made reference to those areas of the country that wanted transport infrastructure projects and have not got them. May I ask her to spare a thought for those places that have got transport infrastructure projects that they do not want? She knows that High Speed 2 passes through my constituency

Order. I remind Members that if they wish to speak they should continue to bob so I can see that they do. If we are going to get everybody in, people will need to restrict themselves to about three minutes, but I am loath to impose a formal time limit. I call Sir John Whittingdale.
