Following successful demonstrator trials in 2025, the first DragonFire unit is on track for installation on a Royal Navy Type 45 destroyer in 2027. Due to the need to align installation plans with the operational commitments of the Type 45 fleet, the precise Type 45 destroyer DragonFire will be installed on will be announced in due course, due to operational considerations which I am sure the Hon. Gentleman will appreciate.

The F-35B Lightning II programme graduated from the Government Major Projects Portfolio on 1 April 2026.

Which other missile programmes, beyond Meteor, will be coordinated through the new joint Complex Weapons Portfolio Office.

The joint Portfolio Office will not be responsible for coordinating the Meteor missile programme. As set out in the Lancaster House 2.0 Declaration, the joint Complex Weapons Portfolio Office will support activities related to SCALP/Storm Shadow acquisition and will deliver pre-concept capability studies for the development of next‑generation air‑to‑air weapon concepts.

What date does he plan to launch the competitive design phase of the Multi-Role Strike Ship (MRSS) programme.

In his speech to DSEI in September 2025, the First Sea Lord set out that the Multi Role Strike Ship (MRSS) concept would fundamentally change to have uncrewed capabilities at their heart, but be more modular, resilient, dispersed and powerful. These changes are subject to the Defence Investment Plan, with further information available once it is published. Project Catharina continues to ensure that UK and Netherlands amphibious capabilities remain aligned, building on over 50 years of partnership between the Royal Marines and the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.

With reference to his Department's press release entitled UK and Belgium sign multi-million pound Mission Data partnership, published on 31 March 2026, what collaboration with Belgium on the General Atomics MQ-9B Protector unmanned Aircraft system has taken place to date.

The UK and Belgium are the founding partnership nations of the MQ-9 International Cooperation Support Partnership which, now also includes Canada, Denmark, Germany, and Poland. Collaboration through this partnership enhances the capability through the sharing of information and equipment costs (sensors and weapons), as well as training, operating, and sustaining the capability to further interoperability.Formed under the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, the UK's lead position as the first nation to employ Protector RG Mk1 (MQ-9B), will enhance UK, Allied and NATO operational output. In addition to air system benefits and airworthiness information, the UK is also supporting Belgium with aircrew and engineer training at RAF Waddington and in Florennes Air Base.

The process of integrating UK overseas defence exports personnel into Defence's global network has begun. On 1 April, internationally based defence exports staff transferred from the Department for Business and Trade to the Ministry of Defence. Tasked by National Armaments-International, they are supported and enabled by Defence's Integrated Global Defence Network (IGDN). This arrangement will be reviewed after three months and adjusted as needed.

What progress has he made on Project Catherina.

In his speech to DSEI in September 2025, the First Sea Lord set out that the Multi Role Strike Ship (MRSS) concept would fundamentally change to have uncrewed capabilities at their heart, but be more modular, resilient, dispersed and powerful. These changes are subject to the Defence Investment Plan, with further information available once it is published. Project Catharina continues to ensure that UK and Netherlands amphibious capabilities remain aligned, building on over 50 years of partnership between the Royal Marines and the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.
