“I would like to ask you about digital exclusion. Caroline, what is your assessment of the effectiveness of Cash Access UK and banking hubs in tackling older people’s exclusion from banking services?”

“Rhian, can you describe the key findings and recommendations from the Welsh Commissioner’s January report on digital exclusion?”

“Is there any other measurable progress that has been made against the recommendations so far?”

“I would like to ask you all this: as you mentioned already, the UK’s digital inclusion strategy has not been updated since 2014. In that context, do you have concerns about the Government’s plans to make better use of technology across public services?”

“In written evidence, you described Ofcom’s powers as “inadequate to respond to the need for thousands of images across many websites to be removed”. Can you explain why and how those inadequacies might be addressed?”

“Clare, we have talked a little about this already, but I want to ask about civil law legislation. Is there a requirement for that for NCII, to improve victims’ access to redress and support, and if so, what would that look like?”

“We have repeatedly heard that NCII content itself needs to be made illegal in the same way as child sexual abuse imagery. Microsoft has told us that that would unlock faster action. Will you commit to making NCII content illegal?”

“Can you expand a bit on that context? What we have heard very strongly is that this is a gap—I think that that has come from both victims and industry. How will you be looking at that, and what is the timeframe for looking at those gaps and when they will be filled?”

“Alex, a question for you again. Professors McGlynn and Woods have labelled Ofcom “wholly inadequate” when it comes to dealing with individual victims of NCII. The Revenge Porn Helpline agrees, unsurprisingly. Should there be a separate body specifically for enforcing the removal of NCII?”

“Given that this is a crime that is happening now and increasing with alarming frequency, how long are we going to wait to see whether these changes embed in the way that we want them to?”

“Waiting times are particularly problematic. Waiting times for gynaecological treatment have grown faster than any other specialty. Why is that and what is being done to bring them down?”
