5 Apr 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryIt was great to be out knocking on doors in Eye with Councillor Lucy Elkin and county council candidate Sally Mittuch. Lucy is fantastic councillor - her work to bring a post office back to Eye (opening this spring) will make a huge difference locally.
3 Apr 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomymeasuredI’ve written to the Secretary of State, calling on the Government to step in.
3 Apr 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomymeasuredFarms are already operating within tight margins, and the sudden increase in fuel and fertiliser costs has added significant pressure. There is a clear case for targeted, short-term support to help farmers manage these immediate cost pressures.
3 Apr 2026MP & Parliamentmeasured Let's be clear: in rural Suffolk the Green Party is the party best placed to stop Reform.
3 Apr 2026Health & NHScelebratoryGreat to be out in Bungay and Halesworth again last week. It's wonderful to see the GP surgery expansion in Bungay, made possible by funding secured by Green councillors who work hard to make a real difference locally. Green councillors have a track record of listening and getting things done.

2 Apr 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomyangryLarge corporate farms are already squeezing out ordinary farmers. Allowing more factory farms will mean more river pollution, more environmental damage and more animals in cruel conditions. Government should be halting the trend towards more mega farms, not encouraging it.
2 Apr 2026Health & NHSmeasuredIt’s time for the Government to have a concrete action plan to address the backlog and ensure every child gets good dental care. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
2 Apr 2026Health & NHSangryA child waiting until they are 10 years old to get their first dentist appointment is simply unacceptable, especially when tooth decay is the leading cause of children's hospitalisation.
31 Mar 2026Culture & CommunitycelebratoryIt’s always a pleasure to host my surgeries at Halesworth Library, a community hub at the heart of the town. Across Suffolk and Norfolk, libraries do more than lend books. They play a vital role in rural communities, providing support & connection.
30 Mar 2026Agriculture & Rural EconomycelebratoryAfter more than a decade of culling and the deaths of over 230,000 badgers, I welcome reports that the government has committed to ending the cull. I’ve written to the responsible minister asking her to confirm that badger culling in England will end in full.
30 Mar 2026Energy & Net ZerodefensiveI’d rather the Leader of the Opposition focus on this Gov’s failure to prepare for the future, rather than desperately trying to chase headlines. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
30 Mar 2026Energy & Net ZeroangryLast time in Gov, you handed out hundreds of North Sea licences at huge cost and environmental damage, for just 36 days of gas. The idea that giving big oil a blank cheque to drill in the North Sea will lower energy bills is laughable. We all know gas is sold on an open international market.
28 Mar 2026Local GovernmentcelebratoryThanks to everyone who came along to Forncett Steam Museum today to support the South Norfolk Green Party action day in West Depwade. I got a great response on the doorsteps in Bunwell. Christina Kenna will make a fantastic County Councillor. Only the Greens can beat Conservatives and Reform here.
27 Mar 2026EnvironmentcelebratoryMell Harrison and her team hope to expand their work at Kinda Education by restoring Ringsfield Hall into an eco-community space and specialist alternative provision school, with a goal of raising £400,000 for the project. I've been pleased to support them with this plan.
27 Mar 2026EnvironmentcelebratoryI was impressed by the ongoing nature restoration at Kinda Woods, where volunteers have planted over 6,000 new trees, and I loved the chance to meet their therapy animals, Lovely the chicken and Pancake the duck!
27 Mar 2026EducationcelebratoryIt was fantastic to witness the strong sense of community here and the positive impact of the nature-based alternative education programmes, for both children and families - especially significant given the growing SEND needs I’ve seen across the constituency.
27 Mar 2026EducationcelebratoryLast Friday, I had the pleasure of touring Kinda Education, a multi-generational education community in the Kali Woods near Halesworth.
